1. Information We Collect
Roomtap is designed for local intercom functionality and does not require account creation.
- Microphone Access: The App uses microphone input only to capture speech for immediate local playback to your Sonos speaker.
- Local Network Access: The App uses local network access to discover and communicate with compatible Sonos speakers.
2. How We Use Information
The App uses microphone and local network data solely to provide the core "hold to talk" intercom feature.
3. Data Storage and Sharing
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use Roomtap to profile users for advertising.
- Audio is intended for real-time playback; no cloud storage is required for core functionality.
4. Third-Party Services
Roomtap interoperates with Sonos devices. Sonos may process data under its own privacy policy and terms.
5. Security
We use reasonable safeguards for the App, but no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Children’s Privacy
Roomtap is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
